“Whatever it takes to finish things, finish. You will learn more from a glorious failure than you ever will from something you never finished.”
― Neil Gaiman
Each Doula programme has a separate path to certification. Please find the course you are wanting to complete below and read over the requirements needed after having completed the introductory workshop.
To begin any of the Certification Programs you must first attend an entire Introduction workshop of that training with Sacred Space. This workshop is the beginning of the programme and must be completed entirely to qualify for enrollment in the certification programme.
Once you are convinced this is the path you wish to journey, you then enroll in the Certification Program by completing an application provided to you at the training you have attended and sending it back to us.
The certification program is structured over a period of time (typically between 6 months and 2 years) during which you will complete all the requirements needed to become certified. Extentions are always possible and can be requested should you need it.
Upon enrolling in the homestudy after your workshop you will be given all the necessary information to see you through to certification.
At each point in your HomeStudy you will be mentored by an experienced doula or from your trainers, whom you may email or contact for assistance. You will be supported in completing your certification so that you can become a doula that helps families as the doulas of old did.
A special private doula discussion group will be provided so that you can communicate with others that have done the same training as they are preparing for their certification. This would be a place to share ideas, ask for advice, connect and build a network for referrals and a space to debrief any experiences you have had.
You will also have further opportunity to discuss your needs and progress with your trainer at any time. Each step of the way you will be assisted towards your certification.
Upon completion and review of the HomeStudy you will be certified as a Sacred Space Doula and receive a certificate to that effect.
Many people desire to complete more than one of our workshops and seek to certify in those as well. We would like to encourage you to do just this and so we will meet you in achieving this goal.
We offer a 50€ discount on each certification process after your first completed one.
So you would receive the following discounts:
First certification 250€
Second certification 100€
Third certification 150€
Fourth certification 50€
Fifth certification 0€
This means that your second certification would cost only 100€, your third certification would be 150€, your fourth would be 50€ and your fifth certification would be free.
It is my sincere wish to see you through to this point. Join us on this life changing and highly personal journey!
